Are you looking to buy SSP 64mm Sweet Lab V3 (CV3) Blind Burrs to fit Zerno Z1 in Australia?
The SSP CV3 is a standalone cast burr set, more espresso focused than the original CV2. SSP built it as an addition to the cast line rather than a replacement. It comes with the Red Speed coating.

Compatibility
This is a blind burr set. The mounting holes are left undrilled and the burrs are machined to locate in the Zerno Z1's burr pockets, so they sit exactly where the Z1 was built to hold them and a swap takes minutes.
- Zerno Z1, the only grinder these fit
Blind burrs have no screw holes, so they will not mount in anything else. If you want this geometry for a Fellow Ode, DF64, Lagom P64 or Mazzer, buy the standard drilled version instead.
Cast burrs sit taller than machined sets, so find your zero point again after fitting.

Best for filter coffee
SSP Unimodal Brew (UMV1)
The SSP Unimodal Brew (UMV1) is built for pour over: a light bodied cup with very high clarity, at its best on light roasts. Silver Knight coating. Not the one for espresso, the body is too light.
Best for espresso
SSP High Uniformity (HU)
The SSP High Uniformity (HU) is the espresso pick: full bodied shots with good flavour separation. Red Speed coating. It has less clarity than the others, so it is not the set to buy for filter.
Best for both espresso and filter
SSP Multipurpose V2 (MPV2)
The SSP Multipurpose V2 (MPV2) gives high clarity with medium body and handles espresso and filter. Happy on a pump machine such as a 9 bar E61. Red Speed coating.
SSP Sweet Lab V3 (CV3)
The SSP Sweet Lab V3 (CV3) brings high flavour intensity to espresso, at its best on light and medium roasts with a pressure modulating machine (a lever or a Decent). Harder work on a standard 9 bar E61. Also good for pour over. Red Speed coating.
Other options
SSP Sweet Lab V2 (CV2)
The SSP Sweet Lab V2 (CV2) came before the CV3 and leans further towards filter, with plenty of flavour intensity. Less suited to espresso than its successor. Pick it if you want the original cast burr design.
Mazzer 233M
The Mazzer 233M is the traditional espresso choice. It makes plenty of fines, which gives full bodied shots with rich chocolate tones.

The burr set which promises so much (based on other user reviews) and after a gruelling period of seasoning (about 3.5kg so for) battling micro fines, choking and poor tasting espresso shots, they are finally starting to become more consistent and beginning to shine and show their true potential.
I’m looking forward to when they hit their peak as I think my espresso will be amazing when this happens.
Definitely past the worst part and hopefully it will all be worth the pain for the long term gain.
