Care & Cleaning

• Use: Choose a shot basket based on your needs—single-wall for most scenarios, double-wall if your grinder does not grind fine enough or if using pre-ground coffee. Insert the basket until it clicks into place. Use the shot splitter when brewing into two vessels, snapping it onto the bottom of the portafilter before brewing. If tamping with the shot splitter installed, rest the portafilter flat on the edge of the counter, keeping the splitter off the surface.
• Cleaning: Disassemble baskets and shot splitter and hand wash separately with warm water and a non-abrasive cleaner. Wipe down the portafilter body with a damp cloth. Not dishwasher safe.
• Wood Handle Care: The wooden handle may dry out or crack when exposed to high heat or steam. To prevent this, apply mineral oil and buff with a soft cloth once a month or whenever the wood feels especially dry.
