Maintaining relative humidity between 40%-60% is ideal for storing coffee beans. The Gambo Sealed Canister features a one-way exhaust valve that allows gas to exit without re-entering, as shown in the diagram. After roasting, coffee beans release carbon dioxide, which can hinder water absorption during extraction, resulting in incomplete flavour extraction. The built-in exhaust valve automatically releases carbon dioxide from the container while preventing external gases from entering, preserving bean freshness and flavour.
The canister includes a stainless steel measuring spoon with a magnetic design for easy storage, holding approximately 8g of coffee beans per scoop. When filling the canister, use the date recording discs to note the filling or roasting date, allowing you to track the freshness of your coffee beans easily.
